Job Description:
Kaiser Permanente Georgia is seeking a dedicated and
compassionate Part Time Oncology Nurse to join our Capitol Hill MOB
team, offering exceptional care in a supportive environment. This
role involves directing patient care within the scope of nursing
for oncology patients, with a focus on enhancing patient health
synergistically through our integrated care and coverage model. The
ideal candidate will bring a commitment to improving patient
outcomes, a thorough knowledge of oncology nursing practices, and
the ability to manage both the emotional and physical needs of
cancer patients. Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients.
Assess patient conditions through careful observation and
evaluation of symptoms. Administer chemotherapy and other
medications as prescribed. Educate patients and families on
treatment plans and health maintenance. Collaborate with
oncologists and the healthcare team to tailor interventions.
Monitor patient reactions and complications from treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Strong clinical skills in oncology care Proficiency in
administering chemotherapy Effective communication and patient
education abilities Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Emotional intelligence and compassion for patient care Medical

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
Certified Oncology Nurse (OCN) preferred
