Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical
experience. 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture
in a customer-facing or support role. Experience with cloud
engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or
containerization platforms. Experience engaging with, or presenting
to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders. Experience in
programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping,
demos, or customer workshops. Ability to travel up to 50% of the
time. Preferred qualifications: Experience selling technical
solutions in one or more of the following: Infrastructure
Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data
Analytics, Cloud AI, Networking, Migrations, Security. Experience
driving the entire business cycle (e.g., defining the delivery and
consumption plan and transitioning it for execution). Experience
building the technical strategies to uncover new workloads with
customers. Experience migrating applications and services to cloud
platforms. Experience with security concepts (e.g., encryption,
identity management, access control, attack vectors). Experience
working with NASA and the aerospace industry. About the job As a
Customer Engineer in Google Public Sector you will partner with
technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our
customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and
partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop cloud
solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges,
engage in proofs-of-concepts, and troubleshoot any technical
questions and roadblocks. You will use your expertise and
presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their
business and technical requirements, and present solutions on
Google Cloud. You will have excellent technical, communication and
organizational skills. You will focus on a range of customer
opportunities as a technical generalist, spanning infrastructure
modernization, application modernization, data analytics and more.
You will have a passion for building new relationships, with
experience in prospecting and building out greenfield territories.

full-time position is $153,000-$222,000 bonus equity benefits. Our
salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within
the range, individual pay is determined by work location and
additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and

Responsibilities Work with the team to identify and qualify
business opportunities, understand key customer technical
objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
Share Google Cloud expertise to support the technical relationship
with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid
responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work,
and partnering directly with product management to prioritize
solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud. Work
directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype
integrations in customer and partner environments. Recommend
integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and
application infrastructure required to implement a complete
solution on Google Cloud. Lead prospecting and acquisition of net
new logos, creating and building customer relationships, and
establishing yourself as a trusted advisor on their technology and
business decisions.
