Job Description:
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) Tech Team is hiring an
IT Help Desk Associate II to provide support to our DNC staff! We
are looking for someone who can ensure that the Democratic National
Committee runs smoothly from a technical perspective, and that our
staff can fight to win elections in every zip code. The ideal
candidate will be the IT Lead supporting the IT Director in
providing optimal support to the DNC.Responsibilities:
- Serve as IT Team Lead and backup to the IT Director for
critical issues and strategic planning, often liaising between the
Operations and HR Teams
- Act as a point of escalation for the IT Help Desk Associate I
team members to include, triaging issues and recommending
solutions; escalate to tier 3 resources after exhausting all
efforts at tier 1-2 level
- Manage long-term projects from start to finish, ensuring we
execute efficiently. Communicate effectively with clients from both
technical and non-technical backgrounds
- Update and curate documentation to ensure our policies,
workflows, and technical information are kept up to date
- Assist and support for events, such as DNC and All-Staff
meetings, press conferences, and more
- Manage and respond to IT tickets in a timely and customer
service driven manner
- Other duties as assigned to support the department and the
DNC's missionQualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in IT roles, including prior experience
as Help Desk Associate or Help Desk Technician;
- Dedication to customer service with strong interpersonal
skills;
- Basic knowledge of networking such as TCP/IP, routing and
switching;
- Experience with both computer and mobile device enterprise
management systems such as Google Workspace and JAMF;
- Knowledge of Zendesk or other similar ticketing systems
- Knowledge of macOS, iOS, and chromeOSThe Help Desk Associate
position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time.
This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on
weekends. The starting salary for the IT Help Desk Associate II
position is $85,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with
experience and qualifications. This position is in the bargaining
unit represented by SEIU Local-500The Democratic National Committee
