SUMMARY: The Quality Technician / Purchasing Associate for Supplier Warranty is responsible for supporting all daily processes of the Warranty Parts Return department and will determine whether returned parts are eligible for warranty compensation and supplier quality investigation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned

  • Support all daily processes of the Warranty Parts Return department

  • Maintain current status on all warranty part returns

  • Verify parts received align with claim paperwork, packing slips, and BOL's

  • Receive, check-in, and ship warranty returned parts in conjunction with open warranty claims

  • Physically move part shipments to staging areas

  • Develop bills of lading and delivery forms

  • Pull correct parts by verifying details listed on packing slip paperwork

  • Pack parts in various containers for safe shipment to internal and external customers

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers

  • Exhibit good computer skills using MAPICS, various internal websites, Sharepoint, and Microsoft Office systems

  • Efficiently utilize Customer Warranty and Supplier Warranty computer systems

  • Effectively interpret part and assembly drawings

  • Operate forklift and tow motor to transport heavy material both inside and outside of buildings, as well as across facility to scrap area

  • Operate mobile hoist

  • Support Customer Warranty, Supplier Quality, and Engineering team members as needed with warranty investigation requests

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma

  • Must be a team player who can interact positively and productively with internal and external customers on daily basis

  • Must be able to work 4 x 10-hour shifts, 6am - 4pm, with flexibility to modify days and/or times as needed based on workload

  • Must be self-motivated, able to self-manage, and consistently demonstrate initiative

  • Must be detail oriented, able to think critically and problem solve

  • Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities to accomplish the daily needs of the department

  • Must maintain a safe, clean, and organized department (OSHA compliant)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of automotive and mechanical terms

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Forklift and/or tow motor operating experience

  • Freight shipping and receiving experience

  • Knowledge Microsoft Office systems

  • Must take care of tools and equipment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of AS400 / MAPICS

  • International shipping experience

  • Forklift and/or tow motor certified

  • Ability to review part drawings and pull specific drawing revision levels

  • Experience with a wide variety of JLG equipment and part functionality
