As a Level I Trauma Center, the ED at GW Hospital is equipped to handle the most complex emergency cases, with highly specialized teams available 24/7. - The Emergency Department is a 62-bed unit, including resuscitation rooms, fast-track areas, and specialized spaces for trauma, cardiac emergencies, and stroke. - Our ED is supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities, with rapid access to radiology, laboratory, and surgical services. - The ED is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, and a highly skilled team of emergency-trained nurses. Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse in our Level I Trauma Center's Emergency Department, you will be at the forefront of providing critical care to patients with a variety of urgent and life-threatening medical conditions. Our Emergency Department is known for its fast-paced environment and its commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and research. You will work alongside a dedicated team of medical professionals to deliver high-quality care and support to patients and their families during critical times. Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a dynamic, challenging emergency department setting. - Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement care for patients across a wide range of conditions. - Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses to treatments. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes. - Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care. - Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and research opportunities.
