Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leader in patient-first healthcare in the
D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated PRN
Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our home care team in
Annapolis. This role demands a compassionate professional who can
efficiently deliver therapy services to patients in their homes
under the supervision of our licensed Occupational Therapists. The
successful candidate will be part of a network that values
high-quality care, personalized patient experiences, and innovative
healthcare solutions. Assist in the evaluation of patients' living
environments and recommend necessary adaptations or interventions.
Implement therapeutic programs and treatments as established by the
primary Occupational Therapist. Monitor and document patient
progress and respond to any changes in their condition. Educate
patients and families about self-care and adaptive strategies.
Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient
care plans. Maintain equipment and ensure materials are stocked and
ready for use. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to changing environments and patient needs.
Proficient in using medical software and maintaining accurate
records. Physical stamina and dexterity. Understanding of
occupational therapy principles and practices. Valid Occupational
Therapy Assistant state license. CPR and First Aid certification
preferred.
