Job Description Job Description Inova Franconia-Springfield Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently hiring a PRN Surgical/Scrub Tech (ST) to become an integral member of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. This position is day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays. Join us in shaping the future of healthcare. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Scrub surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse Assist with transferring patient to the operating room table; assist with positioning the patient, using appropriate equipment and anatomical principles to avoid patient injury Perform initial instrument, sharps and sponge counts with the circulator Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, equipment and rooms for surgical procedures Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedure Recognize safety hazards and initiates appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures Perform other related duties as a key member of the team supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center JOB REQUIREMENTS: Two or more years of Surgical Tech (ST) experience Completion of an appropriate Surgical Tech program Surgical Tech certification or experience required Registered to practice in the State of Virginia High school diploma or equivalent required BLS certification is required BENEFITS INCLUDE: Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Life & Disability Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) Retirement Plan with generous Employer Match Tuition Reimbursement Student Loan Repayment Assistance Program - up to $10,000
