Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Bel Air, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,360 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Bel Air, Maryland, 21014! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 2 Years Required License: Active RN State License Certifications: BLS, NRP Required; ACLS, STABLE, FHM, AWHONN (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced) Preferred Must-Have: EOW Experience Required First-time Travelers Accepted Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will work in a Family Birthplace unit. This position requires rotating shifts of days and nights every three weeks. The schedule consists of 3 shifts per week. Weekends and holidays are required as scheduled. Floating within the specialty and sister units may be required as needed. The patient ratios vary: Triage (1:4), Early labor/induction (1:2), Active labor (1:1), Cesarean Delivery (1:1), Post-partum (1:4). Patient diagnoses include Antepartum, Intrapartum, and Postpartum. The nurse will assist with various procedures, including high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation. Candidates must be proficient in Fetal Heart Monitoring and EFM. Experience with antenatal testing and managing high-risk pregnancies is required. Nurses should be familiar with various medications, IV therapy, and maternal care protocols. Car seat education and discharge teaching for parents are also essential components of the role. The daily census typically averages 105 deliveries per month. The unit features a Special Care Nursery and a variety of support services. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication and a high level of clinical skill in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will participate in direct patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
