Job Description:
Full-Time Caregiver (RN) Embrace a unique opportunity as a
Full-Time Caregiver (RN) in Washington DC, supporting an
adventurous quadriplegic individual. This live-in role offers
flexibility, independence, and the chance to make a meaningful
impact in someone’s life. With downtime and a supportive employer
who values personal interests, you’ll grow both personally and
professionally in an engaging, fulfilling environment. If you're
ready for a rewarding challenge, this is your chance to thrive in a
dynamic caregiving experience! Hiring for a unique opportunity: a
live-in personal care attendant to help with disability-related
needs in Washington DC. This is a highly flexible position with
competitive compensation to support an adventurous, independent,
quadriplegic. No specialized medical training required; some
successful past assistants had no background. It’s more about
willingness to learn, lack of squeamishness (around bathroom stuff
for instance), and an extremely high degree of reliability. Daily
schedule typically consists of a few hours in the morning to get
ready, various light tasks throughout the day (meals, errands), an
hour at night, and plenty of downtime. The position is ideal for
medical professionals wishing for a change of pace or for a new
challenge. A long time commitment is strongly preferred (ideally
one year). Travel is included. The employer works full-time
remotely and has an active social life, so it’s important for the
caregiver to have their own hobbies and interests and be
comfortable with time to themselves. Employment would be directly
with the family privately. Hi! My name is Jay, and I’m an active
quadriplegic searching for my next amazing caregiver. I have a PhD
and run a climate technology business. I’d love to meet you!
