We are seeking an Audiologist at ourFairfax,VAclinic to help ensure our service members get the best care possible. You will play a vital role in the continued care of these men and women. Your Role Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska: As anAudiologistwithJamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska, a Leidos QTC Health Service affiliated professional corporation, you will apply the principles of hearing science and audiology to formulate an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO) and/or independent medical exam to a unique claimant population of past and present military service members. The scope of practice of the audiologist is to provide a professional opinion to the severity of the hearing problem, the diagnosis, the causation, and assessing the probability that the hearing problem is related to military service. Pay Range: - Salary:$90k-$170k w/ quarterly bonus eligibility(Based on combination of relevant experience, education, and other relevant qualifications) Work Schedule, Location, and Other Information: - Generally Mon-Fri Clinic operating hours are generally 8am -5pm, with weekend/evening schedules based on operational needs. - Clinic Address-8505 Arlington Blvd. - 3 weeks onboarding/training - Day to day consists of 75% examination time 25% admin time - Support staff including MA’s to provide in clinic support. - We will pay for licensing, malpractice, CME costs, and more! - All benefits including medical, dental, life, STD/LTD…etc. available onDAY 1! We believe in transparency, click the hyperlink below in the benefits section to see all of our benefits. - Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for administering and interpreting a variety of tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, such as air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests, the site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. - Evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational and conduct medical record reviews of past audiograms and documents to determine the likely cause of the hearing loss, and to state the prognosis and address the issues of hearing loss and tinnitus. - Operates computerized programs and utilizes application software and databases in order to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records, and utilizing report writing formats. - Maintains patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA. - Responsible for conducting otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment. - Lead paraprofessional staff training for Audiology specific skills and certifications as required by all LOB. - Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs). - You will also have the ability to travel (up to 50%) to provide audiology examinations for clients in multiple locations throughout the country. Competencies: - Demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service and care to the claimants. - Collaborative, best proactive and informed standard of care-centric, decision-making skills. - Analytical ability necessary to evaluate and determine medical opinions. - Technically competent with computers/tablets to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using Electronic Medical Records. - Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations. Required Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses) - Doctorate Degree in Audiology (Au. D) from an accredited college or university is required. - 5years of clinic practice experience. - Professional experience directly related or desire to work with Compensation and Pension Examination, and experience with hearing conservation programs/and or noise conservation programs preferred but not required. - Currently licensed Audiologist in state employed and license shall be unrestricted. - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and/or American Academy of Audiology (AAA) certification prior to hire. Will reimburse for cost. - Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation. - Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Government Clearances (LARS/Public Trust Clearance, etc. - Receive a medical clearance that may consist of passing an N95 respirator fit test and properly wear organizational standard respiratory protective equipment as required. Pass a Tuberculosis/TB test and receive a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or pass a Hepatitis A/B Titer test. - Ability to earn and maintain training/certifications as required to support current and future contracts.
