Location: Wilmington, DE (onsite 3 day a week)-

Duration: 12-24+mth

Visa - - US Citizen Only

OPEN TO RELOCATION near by location 100 miles

Must have :

Lead the successful delivery of AI/ML, RPA, and digital

transformation programs across R&D, commercial, clinical, regulatory, or enterprise functions.

3+ years of experience leading AI/ML projects in Life Sciences

or Pharmaceutical industries (R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, or similar).

We are seeking a strategic, delivery-focused AI/ML Director to lead

cross-functional initiatives at the intersection of AI/ML, RPA, and

Digital Transformation in the Life Sciences industry. This is a

high-impact role responsible for managing complex, tech-enabled programs

from ideation through execution - ensuring business value, stakeholder

alignment, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation and a proven

ability to drive large-scale digital initiatives but is not a hands-on

coder. You're a doer - someone who can translate business needs into

actionable technical strategies, mobilize teams, and deliver outcomes in

a regulated, fast-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the successful delivery of AI/ML, RPA, and digital transformation

programs across R&D, commercial, clinical, regulatory, or enterprise

functions.

Serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical

teams, translating business requirements into scalable technical

solutions.

Manage end-to-end program lifecycle: planning, scope definition,

stakeholder alignment, execution, and change management.

Oversee cross-functional project teams, including data scientists,

automation specialists, solution architects, and third-party vendors.

Establish program governance, ensure clear communications, and maintain

executive-level reporting.

Drive the adoption of automation, data-driven insights, and intelligent

technologies that enable operational efficiency and innovation.

Identify opportunities for new AI/ML use cases and help build business

cases and roadmaps.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, data governance policies,

and ethical AI practices.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in program/project management roles within

technology, digital, or transformation-focused domains.

Minimum 4 years of experience leading AI/ML projects in Life Sciences or

Pharmaceutical industries (R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, or

similar).

Hands-on experience managing RPA and/or intelligent automation

initiatives using platforms like UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation

Anywhere, etc.

Familiarity with AI/ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google

AI, DataRobot, etc.) and data ecosystems - enough to lead discussions

and manage delivery.

Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional digital

programs with multiple business and technology stakeholders.

Strong understanding of digital transformation principles, agile/hybrid

methodologies, and change management practices.

Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive

presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life

Sciences, or related fields.

Experience with data governance, compliance, and ethical AI in regulated

industries.

PMP, Agile, or SAFe certifications a plus.

Background in pharma/biotech digital innovation, tech enablement, or

data-driven initiatives.
