us apart. Summary The Data Center Controls and Commissioning
Delivery Engineer serves as the Owner’s technical Subject Matter
Expert (SME) for controls systems delivery and DCIM integration
across mission-critical data center projects. This role is
responsible for end-to-end controls commissioning, system
validation, and operational readiness for both greenfield and
retrofit facilities. The position combines advanced controls
engineering expertise with structured project execution to ensure
systems are delivered, integrated, and handed over in alignment
with Owner standards. Requirements Act as Owner’s representative
for all commissioning phases including FAT, SAT, PFT, FPT, and IST
Develop and execute commissioning plans, test scripts, validation
procedures, and reporting documentation Verify controls
installations align with design intent, construction documents, and
Owner requirements Validate network configurations including IP
addressing, VLAN structure, and system communications Lead system
stress testing, redundancy validation, and performance verification
prior to turnover Ensure alarm configuration, data trending, and
reporting accuracy meet operational standards Lead integration of
controls platforms into DCIM systems ensuring accurate data flow
and interoperability Review single-line drawings and controls
documentation to validate point mapping and hierarchy structures
Confirm tag alignment, alarm strategies, and configuration
compliance within head-end systems Validate resiliency sequences,
power monitoring data, PUE metrics, and battery/BCM systems prior
to go-live Coordinate with construction, engineering, and
operations teams to achieve successful system onboarding Apply
advanced knowledge of DDC systems, PLCs, DCS platforms, and
SCADA/BMS architectures Provide diagnostics and troubleshooting
across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems
Review sequences of operation, graphics, and programming standards
for consistency and scalability Evaluate design decisions for
downstream controls impact and Owner risk mitigation Oversee system
integrators and vendors to ensure compliance with technical and
contractual standards Interface with construction managers, general
contractors, design engineers, and controls vendors Maintain
commissioning logs, issue trackers, and readiness checklists
Provide structured updates on risks, schedule status, and system
readiness Support training and knowledge transfer to operations
teams prior to final handover Skills, Knowledge, Education And
Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred
Equivalent technical certification and relevant experience
considered 5 years of experience in data center controls,
automation, commissioning, or mission-critical facilities
Demonstrated experience leading full commissioning cycles (FAT,
SAT, PFT, FPT, IST) Hands-on experience with DCIM platforms and
controls integration Experience managing system integrators and
commissioning agents Expert knowledge of DDC systems, PLCs, DCS
platforms, and SCADA/BMS architectures Hands-on experience with
Aveva (formerly Wonderware) required Experience with Honeywell,
Schneider Electric, Siemens, or Delta Controls preferred
Familiarity with Kepware, Matrikon, TopView, OSIsoft PI, or similar
data platforms Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong
written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail
and strong organizational skills Ability to manage complex
commissioning efforts in mission-critical environments
Self-directed with strong Owner-focused mindset Willingness to
travel as project needs require
