At our 1.3 million square-foot plant, we produce a variety of productsfrom painted aluminum sheet to blanked aluminum products. What we produce here is found in a wide assortment of end products, such as truck cabs, cookware, and construction materials. We also produce brazing sheet used by auto manufacturers to make evaporator and condenser components. Over 400 customers use our product for a variety of consumer goods. All About Maintenance: As an employee working in our maintenance department, you help support our production departments by maintaining and servicing the equipment and machines they use in their day-to-day. You could end up in either Cast House/Plate Maintenance, Cold Mill/Mill Finish Maintenance, or Hot Mill Maintenance departments. Safety is our number one value. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities of Industrial Mechanics: - Provide mechanical maintenance, corrective maintenance, fabrication, assembly, and installation activities for the Maintenance Department - Maintains air compressors, hydraulics, pumps, piping, mechanical drives, and combustion systems - Perform safety inspections - Prevent and minimize equipment downtime - Problem solving mechanical systems - Must be able to lift and carry heavy weights up to 50 pounds - Must own personal tools /n Benefits Package: - Strong base salary with variable quarterly bonus program - Generous Health Benefits beginning day 1! (Successful candidate must participate in training programs). o 2 years heavy industrial maintenance experience troubleshooting, repairing and installing: hydraulics, pneumatics, piping, mechanical drives, bearings and welding; OR o Advanced Technical Degree (Associate in Specialized Trade in Mechanical field); (Provide copy of Diploma with resume) or completion of degree by start date OR o 2 - 3 years Military experience in a mechanical/hydraulic/propulsion field (Provide copy of official MOS with resume) o Good communication skills; verbal and written and the ability to deal effectively with others. o Must be able to lift and carry heavy weights up to 50 pounds. o Must own personal tools Preferred Qualifications : - 3 years heavy industrial maintenance experience AND Associates degree in a related field OR Journeylevel Certification - Proven industrial mechanical maintenance experience to meet Apprentice Mechanic B qualifications: - diagnose and troubleshoot combustion, and furnace systems and perform installations and repairs - diagnose and troubleshoot problems with plant manufacturing systems, plant buildings, and plant utilities (Hyd., Pnu., Pollution, Lub., etc.) - fabricate equipment, parts, and tools using welding, fabrication and machine tool skills - fabricate and install pipe and tubing systems using welding, threading, and bending skills - perform machinery/coupling alignment using precision measurement instrument - diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical drive systems (to include gears, bearings, belts, chains, and couplings) and to perform required installations and repairs /n /n Candidates that meet preferred qualificaitons are eligible to take journeylevel person assessment test which qualifies them for a higher starting rate of pay About Us Arconic Corporation is a leading provider of aluminum sheet, plate and extrusions, as well as innovative architectural products, that advance the automotive, aerospace, commercial transportation, industrial and building and construction markets.
