Job Description Job Description Counselors-in-Training (CITs) assist in four classes per day and help lead small groups of campers. They also get a chance to develop their leadership skills during our recreational "Choice" period. CITs participate in a full week of staff training. CITs receive a weekly stipend of $400 for this training position. We hope our CITs learn to create a nurturing environment for youth to connect and take artistic risks. We aim for them to explore how different instructors in different art forms approach teaching. Requirements CITs must be 16 years old as of June 29, 2026. High school and undergraduate students are welcome to apply. CITs must be available Monday-Friday, June 29- August 8, 2025, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. The full time commitment is required. Exceptions can be made for school or college orientations. NOTE: Applicants need not have been a camper at Camp Arena Stage. Your cover letter should include the following: Why do you want to be a CIT at Camp Arena Stage? What do you hope to learn in this training program? Tell us about your experience working with young people (ex. babysitting, tutoring, volunteering, etc.). Tell us about your art experience (ex. playing an instrument, being in a play, arts and crafts, film editing, sewing, etc.) CIT interviews will be held in late April/early May.
