Job Description Job Description Controller – Automotive Dealership $130,000 | Ourisman Toyota 40 Edgewood | Edgewood, MD Ourisman Toyota 40 Edgewood invites experienced Automotive Dealership Controllers to take the lead in shaping the financial operations of our high-volume Toyota dealership. Automotive dealership accounting experience is required. This senior leadership role oversees financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, cash management, and operational analysis. You’ll work directly with dealership leadership and department managers to ensure strong financial performance, accurate reporting, and data-driven business decisions. Why This Role is Exceptional - $130,000 salary based on experience - Lead financial operations at a high-volume Toyota dealership - Back-to-back winner of the prestigious Toyota President's Award - Work with an established and respected dealer group - Direct access to dealership leadership for strategic financial planning - Stable organization with long-term career growth Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting - Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements - Provide insights to department managers and leadership - Identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement Budgeting & Forecasting - Manage the annual dealership budget - Track revenue and expenses vs. targets - Create short- and long-term financial forecasts Cash Management - Monitor daily cash flow and bank reconciliations - Forecast cash needs and optimize capital use - Maintain strong internal cash controls Compliance & Internal Controls - Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and dealership policies - Implement and maintain robust internal controls - Protect company assets and financial integrity Financial Analysis & Operational Support - Analyze dealership KPIs and performance metrics - Provide actionable financial guidance to managers - Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs Qualifications - Automotive dealership accounting experience required - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance - Strong knowledge of GAAP - Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds or similar DMS - Strong financial analysis and reporting skills - Leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities - CPA preferred but not required About Ourisman For over 100 years, Ourisman Automotive Group has served the region, building a reputation for strong leadership, stable operations, and long-term careers.
